Scope of Responsibilities
Plan, direct, control and monitor project control activities and document Control activities of the projects and proposals being carried out in Chennai office.
Primary Duties
- Allocate appropriate manpower for the preparation of proposals and the performance of detailed engineering on projects.
- Establish Project control and Document control system / procedure based on the project specific requirement
- Direct establishment of Scheduling philosophy
- Ensure that the following activities are carried out for proposal / projects based on the requirement:
- Developing Work Break Down structure based on the contract requirement
- Developing logic network schedule for Engineering, Procurement and Construction activities
- Developing various level (1, 2 & 3) schedules
- Allocation of man-hours and commodity for each activity in the schedule
- Preparation of Progress Measuring system for each phase of the Project
- Preparation of Progress S-curve, various commodity curves and Manpower Histograms
- Periodical update of the Precedence Network
- Interact with Project Engineers & Discipline Engineers to get the progress weekly turn around documentation
- Preparation of various report such as daily report, weekly report and monthly report
- Analyse network schedule and develop report on over run activities with mitigation plan
- Develop stand alone schedule for critical activities wherever required to support contractual schedule
- Preparation of invoice and VOWD report
- Ensure monitoring Project progress and timely issue of progress reports
- Ensure establishment of Computerized Document tracking system such as Petrocept for projects on need basis
- Ensure timely delivery / transmittal of the documents and proper logging in
- Direct the activities of department performance evaluations. Establish clear work standards and ensure performance objectives are met. Evaluate and make recommendation for promotions, salary increases, transfers, and terminations.
Minimum Requirement
Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 15 (Fifteen) years of related experience or 20 (Twenty) years of experience with diploma in engineering. Knowledge in Primavera, MS Project, electronic spread sheets, and data base management is essential.
